1010 - Center Finder Kit - $18    Order

This is  a dual function tool incorporating features of a wobbler and a pump center.  On a lathe, it assists in getting a centerpunch mark on your workpiece coincident with the center of rotation on a faceplate or a four-jaw chuck.  With the short point in the punch mark and the "handle" held in the toolpost you can use it as a simple indicator to amplify the out-of-position error.  Just a visual check of the outboard, long end will allow registration within three of four thousandths.  Reversed, and with a dial indicator against the body you may read actual runout of the punch mark.  Spring loading both directions makes setting up a snap.  1/4" dia. 12" long

1012 - Lathe Tool Height Gage Kit - $23     Order

Tool setting gage for lathes.  This tool, from a George H. Thomas design allows quick setting of a tool bit or boring bar to the centerline of the lathe.  The pointers are set to the height-from-ways and the height-from-crosslide on your individual lathe.  The post can be rotated in the base for best positioning.  The second pointer is most useful for lathes equipped with a T-slotted crosslide.  Will work with lathes up to 13" swing.
1013 - ER-32 Collet Adapter Kit - $37    Order

This adapter permits use of ER-32 series collets on lathes with 1-1/2" threaded spindles.  The ER series collet is a parallel closing design available from most industrial suppliers.  Front closing collets permit full utilization of the through hole in the spindle without reduction by the drawbar.  Collets not included.

This kit provides a 1-1/2" crossfeed dial for Atlas lathes originally supplied with 1" dials.  Wider spaced graduations mean easier setting.  No permanent modifications to the lathe are required so it may be reverted to original condition at any time.

This kit provides a 1-1/2" compound dial to replace older 1" dials similar to the crossfeed kit above. The backplate replaces the original diecasting but allows reversion to original condition if desired.

1017 - Spindle Crank w/ Safety Handle Kit - $39     Order

This kit provides a way to install a crank handle to the outboard end of your lathe spindle.  It is mounted with an expanding collet to the through-hole of the lathe spindle.  One task for which this would be important is short thread sections, such as large diameter fine threads.  Another useful application is turning a partial section such as the rounded end of a link if you do not have recourse to a mill with rotary table.  This handle incorporates a safety feature in case the lathe is started with the handle still installed.
