I love tools! I have made
some of my own tools, such as special cutters, indicator holders,
angle blocks and precision vises. I also enjoy the design,
look, feel, and functionality of many commercially made tools.
I admit to some preferences in form and style and presume that you
do too.
I have worked in tool and diemaking, including moldmaking and
have spent a number of years in tool design with dies, molds,
fixtures, gages and special machines.
I hope to have here a broad array of useful items which you can
make yourself, saving some money, honing your skills, and putting
your individual stamp on your working environment. Your tools
should be a pleasure to have around you for their functionality and
aesthetic appeal. Don't be afraid to modify these designs to
suit your own taste or way of working. I always welcome
comments and/or pictures of what people have done, and if you see a
special need for a tool that you and other craftsmen
(craftspersons?) can use, write me and I'll see what I can do.
